Departing

eparting Residents

We are sorry to see you go but hopeful we will see you again at one of our other communities in the near future.  It has been our pleasure and honor serving you at Robins II Family Housing.  We expect that you were happy with your stay and welcome any feedback on how we can improve our services.

Residents may terminate their occupancy with at least 30 days prior written notice. Exceptions can only be made if your orders do not allow for 30 days notice. Residents are required to provide immediate notification to their community management office upon receipt of their PCS/separation orders.

Once the notice is received by the community management office, a community representative will set an appointment with the resident for a Pre-Inspection and a Final Inspection. Review our Move-Out Procedures Checklist and Move Out Cleaning Checklist for a better understanding of the process and the areas that require cleaning.  The Pre-Inspection is designed to evaluate any damage or cleaning charges that may be incurred if not corrected prior to the Final Inspection.  Orders received with less than 30 days advance notice will authorize release of the resident on a case by case basis with proof of orders.

Residents leaving Robins II Family Housing have two clean-up options:

  • To clean the house following Robins II Family Housing Cleaning Guidelines. Cleaning charges will be assessed during the Final Inspection if cleaning standards are not met.
  • Residents may hire a service provider to clean the house prior to the Final Inspection.  A list of authorized cleaning teams will be provided at the housing office. All negotiations will be strictly between the resident and the cleaning team. Cleaning teams will be paid by money order or cashier’s check ONLY at the Final Inspection.

Ideally, all work orders should be called in prior to giving notice to vacate.  Please ensure all work orders are complete and all items are in place.

The Effective Date of Termination, in most cases, will be the date the Final Inspection is completed.

All trash/debris and personal items must be removed from the premise prior to the Final Inspection. The resident will be assessed a fee if trash/debris is not removed.
